Jun 23, 2003 This article is by the Christian Science Monitor staff. It basically says how they figured out some documents they used to trash George Galloway were actually forgeries.

  • Back dated to 1992/1993. Actually written in late 2002/early 2003.
  • Salah Abdel Rasool - gave the documents to CSM
    • "said he had captured them after his men shot their way into a home once used by Qusay Hussein."
  • CSM asked 'a leading US-based expert on Iraqi government documents'
    • things that indicate forgery
      • 'problematic language'
      • 'arabic text' doesnt match 'bureaucratic writing'
      • 'signature lines and other elemtns differ from genuine procedure'
      • date determined by chemical analysis of ink

"After the fall of Hussein's Baghdad government, stories based on internal Iraqi documents appeared in many news outlets. They detailed everything from mundane aspects of control used by local Baath Party cells to the high living of Saddam Hussein and his sons."
